bd rum Cricket Betting — Best Odds from BPL to T20 World Cup
Bet on cricket — Bangladesh's most popular sport — at bd rum. Markets covering match winner to top batsman are available for BPL, IPL, T20 World Cup, and other international matches.
Cricket's three formats and the major tournaments
The most important part of cricket betting is understanding the difference between the three formats — because the market types, odds and approach vary for each.
T20 — the fastest format and the most familiar to Bangladeshi fans. BPL brings excitement to Dhaka and across the country every season. The situation can change every over, so live odds shift quickly too.
ODI — in fifty-over matches, tactics matter more. Major events like the ICC Cricket World Cup and the Asia Cup are played in ODI format. The Tigers' matches draw a different level of fan passion.
Test cricket — in this five-day format a match can end in a draw, so the markets are different. The market includes a third outcome (draw), which is not normally present in T20 or ODI.
IPL is an Indian franchise tournament but is very popular among bettors in Bangladesh. Many people also take an interest in international matches after following the Tigers in the T20 World Cup.
Football and other sports — how they differ from cricket
Football Betting
Football typically uses the 1X2 market — home win, draw, and away win. There are no innings- or over-based markets as in cricket, but goals over/under and half-time/full-time markets are popular. More odds options are available for Premier League, La Liga and World Cup matches.
90 MinutesCricket Betting — What Makes It Different
Cricket betting stands apart because of its over-based markets — such as runs in the first 10 overs or how many wickets a bowler will take. The toss market is unique to cricket as well. Match length also affects odds — the same matchup in T20 and Test will show completely different odds.
Multi-FormatOther Sports
Betting markets are also available for tennis, badminton and basketball. Tennis has set-by-set markets and badminton has game-based markets. These sports have high-frequency events, so there are more options for live betting.
Multi-SportCasino Games Are Available Too
Alongside sports betting, bd rum also offers live casino and slot games. Check out the full bd rum Casino game collection, which includes Evolution live tables and PG Soft slots.
CasinoCricket's popular betting markets — how they work
Each market works differently. Here is a straightforward explanation of the seven most commonly used markets.
Match Winner
A bet on which team will win the match. In ODI and T20 there are two outcomes (Team A or Team B). Example: if you back Team A to win, you win only if Team A wins.
Toss Market
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. It is entirely chance-based — the odds for both teams are roughly equal. It has no connection to the result of the match.
Top Batsman
A bet on which batter from a team will score the most runs. You can pick any batter from either team. The one who scores the most runs wins the bet — you do not need to predict an exact score.
Total Runs Over/Under
The bookmaker sets a run line, for example 160. If you choose over, you win if the total runs are 161 or more; if you choose under, you win if the total is 159 or fewer.
Multi Bet
Combining multiple selections on one slip. If all selections win, the odds multiply and the return is much higher, but if even one loses the entire stake is gone.
First Power-Play Runs
A bet on the total runs scored in the first six overs (power-play) of a T20 match. Runs are lower if wickets fall quickly, and higher if the pitch plays well.
Handicap Market — in brief
When one team is much stronger, the weaker team is given an artificial advantage. Example: if Team B is given a 30-run handicap and Team B loses by 25 runs, adding the handicap gives Team B a higher 'adjusted score' and that bet wins. Handicap betting does not pay out a specific run total or return amount — the outcome is expressed in words.
Reading odds — the three formats
Betting odds are written in three formats — decimal, fractional and American. bd rum generally uses decimal format, but understanding the others is useful.
Example 1 — the same odds in three formats:
Say Team A will win and you bet ৳1,000. The odds are decimal 3.00, fractional 2/1, American +200 — all three say the same thing. If Team A wins your total return is ৳3,000 (৳2,000 profit plus your ৳1,000 stake). If Team A loses, your ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 — odds for the favourite:
If Team B is the favourite, the odds might be decimal 1.80, fractional 4/5, American -125. In American format, a minus sign shows how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit. On a ৳1,000 bet, if Team B wins your total return is ৳1,800 (৳800 profit).
The lower the odds, the more of a favourite the team is — and the lower the profit. Higher odds mean more risk but a higher potential return. Always bet for entertainment, not as a source of income.
Multi Bet — how the odds multiply
A multi bet (accumulator) means adding multiple selections to the same slip. The odds of each selection are multiplied together to produce the combined odds.
Example of a 3-selection multi bet
Combined odds: 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.90 = 3.99 (approximately)
If all three win on a ৳100 stake, the return is ৳399. If any one loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
A multi bet can deliver a higher return, but getting every selection right is hard. Keep the stakes low and treat it as entertainment. For more on responsible betting, read our responsible gaming guidelines.
Live in-play betting — odds shift on every wicket
Betting while a match is in progress is called in-play or live betting. In cricket it is particularly interesting because every ball, every wicket and every over can reset the odds.
Consider this example: Team A is batting and at 15 overs they are 120 for 3 — Team B's odds of winning will shorten because Team A is in a strong position. If Team A then loses two quick wickets in the next over, the odds will flip again.
Things that shift odds in live betting:
- Wickets falling — when a key batter is out, chasing the target becomes harder
- Run rate per over — if runs come quickly, the batting team's odds shorten
- Situation at the end of the power-play — new odds are set after the first 6 overs
- Weather — if rain interrupts, the target changes under the DLS method and odds shift accordingly
In-play betting requires quick decisions. Take a moment to assess the situation clearly before placing a bet.
Live odds movement — example
When wickets fall, the underdog's odds lengthen and the favourite's odds shorten.
A few things to keep in mind before you start betting
-
01
Choose your market based on the format
T20, ODI and Test do not share the same markets. T20 has power-play run markets; Test has a draw outcome — confirm the format first.
-
02
Set a budget before you start
Betting is entertainment, not a way to earn money. Decide the maximum amount you are willing to spend each session and stick to that limit.
-
03
Focus on one market
Start with the match winner market only. Placing bets across many markets at once makes things complicated.
-
04
Keep your selections low in a multi bet
The more selections you add, the harder it is to win. Staying at 3–4 selections keeps the risk manageable.
-
05
Avoid rushing in live betting
Odds move fast in-play. Rather than placing a bet in a hurry, take a moment to understand the situation before deciding.
